This was a supply and fit beading and dado rail to match an existing style in the house, and fit new skirting.
As you can see I had to run it under the window and doing it that low all the way around would have looked awful. discussing it between the client and myself we decided to have the final panels slope down and marry up under the window. Kind of how it looks on stairs.
Its has a 12mm moisture resistant backing board to give the panelling a clean background appearance. The dado rail is 25mm MR MDF rounded over with the same wall beading underneath. Once all fitted I primed, filled, caulked, sanded, then repeated where needed ready for the customer who wanted to final paint it themselves.
Square edged panelling to one side of a wall with a thumb board on top.
A simple wall panel that was built for a client made from Moisture Resistant MDF. First we had to get and mark a height that the client liked, then mark out and space for how many vertical styles to be had, whether 5, 6, or 7. Again discuss with the client which amount they prefer.
It's quite straight forward making it but there is quite a bit of time that is needed in setting out. then plus making sure its level, plumb, its straight plus equally spaced.
Once its complete, we filled, sanded and primed it, checked it and repeated where necessary. Finished with one final sanding by hand ready for the customer to paint, as they they were decorating the room themselves.
